Death Concert Series 2020

We’re very excited to announce our first concert series ever, with three very special concerts about Death in 2020, set in the unique natural acoustic of the historic Norla Dome.

Brand new films made especially for the project by three of Melbourne’s finest young film-makers/multi-disciplinary artists, Hanna Chetwin, Chloë Sobek, and Vijay Thillaimuthu, will be projected onto the curved walls of the dome during each concert, providing a multi-sensory experience.

Joined by a stellar line-up of Australia’s finest early-music specialists including Laura Vaughan and Victoria Watts (violas da gamba), Cristina Russo (soprano), John Weretka (harpsichord), Hannah Lane (harp), and Nick Pollock (theorbo), Harken Well takes you on a morbid journey through music related to Death.
